How to Expand Your Reach Without Losing Alignment
Just like health is more than diet and exercise, visibility is more than Instagram posts.
For many providers, social media feels like the main way to be seen, but when engagement is mostly from familiar names and loyal followers, it can feel like you’re talking in circles.
If only people inside your existing network are interacting with your content, it’s not that your work isn’t good. It’s that your content isn’t discoverable yet.
And the solution isn’t to post more. It’s to create more pathways for people to find you.

1. Start conversations, don’t just publish posts.
Visibility grows fastest when it’s relational, not performative.
Comment thoughtfully on posts from aligned colleagues, respond to shared challenges, and add your perspective in spaces where your ideal audience already gathers.
Every meaningful comment is a micro-connection that introduces you to someone new, and it feels a lot more natural than ‘marketing yourself.’
2. Go where aligned audiences already gather.
Growth happens when you diversify where and how people can find you.
Here are a few ideas:
🎙️ Be a guest on a podcast that aligns with your values or niche.
🤝 Collaborate with another provider who serves a similar audience.
💬 Offer insights in relevant Facebook or LinkedIn groups.
📰 Write a guest blog post or share your story in a professional newsletter.
📧 Add nurturing emails to your funnel that remind past leads why they connected with you in the first place.
These aren’t ‘extra tasks’, they’re extensions of what you’re already doing. You’re still sharing your expertise, just in spaces where new people are already listening.
3. Use language your audience actually uses.
Sometimes your message doesn’t spread because it’s written in insider language.
If your content sounds like it’s meant for peers rather than potential clients, the people who need your message most might scroll right past it.

Try phrasing things the way your audience would describe them out loud.
For example, instead of ‘support for body neutrality,’ you might say, ‘how to feel at peace with food and your body again.’
Clarity is magnetic.
4. Make your calls-to-action shareable.
When someone loves what you share, make it easy for them to pass it on.
A simple line like ‘Forward this to a colleague who’d appreciate it’ turns your content into connection, without feeling like promotion.
5. Nurture the people who already said yes.
Visibility isn’t only about attracting new people. It’s also about re-engaging those who’ve already raised their hand once. Thoughtful follow-up emails, client updates, and fresh resources remind past leads why they connected with you in the first place, and often turn quiet interest into renewed trust.
The bigger picture
True visibility doesn’t come from algorithms or viral moments.
It comes from building relationships and showing up consistently in spaces that reflect your values. Where your message can truly resonate.
